# CU carry-over policy

Effective from 01-July-2025

\#CU carry-over is an optional feature available for prepaid plans with a duration of 3 months or longer. It is not included by default in the prepaid packages or discounts displayed on the [Birdeye Data pricing page](https://birdeye.so/data-api/pricing).
By default, unused CUs do not carry over between monthly allocation periods. Any unused CUs from a monthly allocation will expire at the end of that allocation period.
When CU carry-over is applied:

* The total CU quota becomes cumulative across the subscription term.
* Unused CUs expire when the current subscription term ends and cannot be transferred to a new subscription cycle.
* The standard prepaid discount is reduced by 10%.

For example, when CU carry-over is applied:

* A 12-month prepaid plan with a standard 30% discount will instead receive a 20% discount.
* A 12-month prepaid plan with 50M CUs/month provides 600M CUs available across the full subscription term.
* If 10M CUs remain unused when the 12-month subscription term ends, those CUs will expire and will not carry over to the next subscription cycle.

No overage charges apply for the plan with carry-over policy applied. Once the available CU quota is fully used, additional usage will require renewal, upgrade, or other applicable arrangements.
CU carry-over is only available for prepaid plans with a duration of 3 months or longer. It does not apply to monthly billing or shorter-term subscriptions.
To apply CU carry-over to your prepaid plan, please contact [**bds.support@birdeye.so**](mailto:bds.support@birdeye.so).
